The Beloit City Council approved a resolution authorizing sale of 104 square feet of city-owned land at 58 State Street to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to accommodate a State Highway 213 resurfacing project and ADA-compliant curb ramp upgrades.
Staff said the DOT project requires acquisition of lands to make existing sidewalk curb ramps ADA-compliant; one affected property owner is the City of Beloit. The city will sell the 104 square feet for $2,000 and grant a temporary limited easement for grading work related to the project. The council approved the resolution on a voice vote.
The sale follows a previously approved transportation project plat that identified the needed land acquisitions for the resurfacing work.
