The Greenfield Common Council voted Jan. 7 to approve a special-use permit and site plan for Radiant Healing Massage and Wellness to occupy suite space at 8555 W. Forest Home Ave.
City planning staff said Radiant Healing will occupy about 112 square feet in the Forest Green Executive Center, operate under the property’s planned-unit development zoning, and will employ two full-time and two part-time staff. Staff reported the site-wide parking requirement for the parcel is 149 spaces and that 154 spaces are provided. The plan commission recommended approval on Nov. 12; no letters of support or objection had been filed.
Applicant Laura Pfeiffer described the business to the council, saying she has been a massage therapist for 30 years and now employs several therapists who provide therapeutic, relaxation and sports massage to clients of all ages. “We provide for the whole family therapeutic relaxation, sports massage,” Pfeiffer said, adding the business will use three private therapy rooms and a waiting area.
After closing the public hearing, the council voted to approve the resolution and site plan on a motion by Alderperson Acres, seconded by Alderperson Kasner. The roll call recorded aye votes by Alderpersons Juzwicki, Kasner, Akers, Sarian, Bailey, and others; the motion carried unanimously.
The approval authorizes Radiant Healing to proceed under the approved site plan and special-use permit.
