Morton Grove trustees approve multiple ordinances, contracts and $1,035,756.17 warrant register

Morton Grove — The Village Board of Trustees on March 25 approved multiple ordinances and resolutions, awarded several contracts and approved a warrant register totaling $1,035,756.17.

The board voted to adopt Ordinance 25-09, setting the commencement date for terms of office for village-elected officials from the April 1 consolidated election to May 27, 2025. The ordinance was considered on second reading and the clerk called the vote; the board president pro tem announced, “Ordinance 2,509 passes, your honor.”

Also on second reading, the board approved Ordinance 25-10, which amends parts of the municipal code related to boards and commissions, the code of ethics and the Family and Senior Services Department. The village administrator presented the ordinance and the clerk recorded the roll-call vote; the item was announced as passed.

The board approved Resolution 25-18 to release certain written minutes and to authorize destruction of verbatim closed-session audio recordings prior to Sept. 25, 2023. Village staff described the action as part of the…
