Mike Wallen, government affairs director and fair housing chair for the Lower Columbia Association of Realtors, read a proclamation declaring April 2025 Fair Housing Month in Cowlitz County and described related community events, including a public fair-housing forum and a book club meeting at Magpie Books.
The consent agenda listed work items and financial ratifications. Among them: the county’s call for bids to replace a concrete box culvert at milepost 72 on the Delameter Road culvert replacement project; the PBS Engineering local-agency consultant agreement for civil, structural, geotechnical, hydraulic and environmental services not to exceed $843,071; a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission notice regarding the Merwin Dam Safety Inspection Report; ratifications for Drainage Improvement District No. 1 payments of $3,709.42 (December 2024) and $24,758.24 (January 2025); and vouchers described in the meeting as totaling $3,000,674,730.67.
Commissioners voted to approve the minutes and the consent agenda. Chairman Dahl was excused for jury duty.
The board opened the floor to public comment after approving the consent agenda.
