Lebanon City Council on March 20 approved Ordinance 2025-039, awarding a $6,675,939.36 construction contract to Milcon Concrete Incorporated for the North Broadway improvement project and declaring an emergency to allow early construction mobilization.
The project includes construction of a new multi-use path on North Broadway from Fire Station 41 to Miller Road (eliminating the existing bike lane), replacement of the water main and resurfacing of North Broadway up to the city limits, city staff said. Council adopted the ordinance after a motion and a roll-call vote.
City officials requested emergency language to move the project to construction as soon as possible. A roll-call vote recorded affirmative votes from Council member Lamoreaux, Council member Sellers, Mayor Messer, Mrs. Eggers, Mrs. Harper and Mr. Coates; the ordinance was approved.
The motion, mover and seconder were not specified in the transcript. Council did not discuss detailed funding sources or a project completion date during the public portion of the meeting.
