The park report recorded multiple incidents across facilities and said maintenance crews had repaired affected fixtures. Staff identified the restroom at Wallach Ranch Park and restroom facilities at other parks among affected sites.
Staff reported acquiring new maintenance equipment (a Toro Sidewinder, a water excavator, a Bobcat tractor, and trucks) and completing upgrades such as a restroom at Lewis Kingman Park and the installation of bear‑proof trash cans donated by the BLM. Parks staff said they completed work on Centennial Field 5 fencing and prepared fields for the Little League season.
On security, staff said a budget request has been submitted for 21 cameras at park locations, and staff described placement plans near restroom entries and heavy‑use areas. "We requested 21 cameras additional to the 4 we're already getting," staff said; power and network connectivity were noted as the principal installation constraints.
On pools and facilities, the director reported that the Grand View Pool will be patched and reopened for the coming season, and a full reline and mechanical upgrades will be completed after the season; staff said core test holes showed the pool structural concrete is sound. For Sunbelt Park, staff said requests for qualifications for a construction manager at risk have been issued and a drainage channel design is about 90% complete to allow construction to begin.
Commissioners praised staff for maintenance and volunteer partnerships and asked about camera locations and timing; staff said the camera budget request is in the capital requests and locations would focus on entries and high‑use areas. No formal votes were taken on these operational items during the meeting.
