On process, the committee discussed whether it can sponsor bills, how to bring housing policies onto the agenda, and whether the committee should meet more frequently during budget season. Chair Avalos proposed occasionally using the calendar’s fifth-week meeting slots; several members signaled support for extra meetings during the April budget cycle.
No formal actions or votes were taken. The chair said she would refine the draft calendar using the committee’s feedback and return it for further discussion at a subsequent meeting.
