The site plan shows the building oriented near Cynthia Road with separated lanes to facilitate bus and car circulation; Tony said the parking is similar in number to that at Creekside Elementary and that the district expects to go out to bid on or about February 10, with bids opening roughly one month later.
The presentation included a visible alternate for photovoltaic (solar) panels on the rear roof; Tony said the solar array was an alternate to be priced in bidding, not a base-scope item. Tony told the board the exterior and interior color choices would be finalized later by a committee and that cafeteria window sills were raised for safety.
After discussion about the storm-shelter capacity and code compliance, the board considered a motion to approve the BG3 and final plans. The board voted by voice; the motion carried.
