Executive Director of Accounting and Benefits Services Rodney Jackson presented the January financial summary, describing year-to-date receipts of approximately $394,000,000 and expenditures of roughly $258,000,000 for a fund balance near $136,000,000; Jackson also provided larger annualized figures showing revenue of $667,600,000 and expenses of $387,900,000 leading to a stated net increase in fund balance to date of about $279,700,000. Jackson reminded board members that timing of salary payments creates seasonal accounting variations and that certain trust funds are reported quarterly.
Board approval was by motion and recorded voice vote; no contested votes were recorded.
