Board approves transportation supplemental plan; district adds electric buses

Craig Beaver, the district's transportation administrator, presented a short update and asked the board to approve the transportation supplemental plan for 2025–26. The board unanimously approved the plan during the March 11 meeting.
Beaver highlighted recent electric-bus acquisitions and said the district will soon be among the largest electric‑school-bus fleets in the state. He said two additional electric buses would arrive the following Thursday and described how the public can identify electric buses: district buses typically carry a four-digit fleet number that for electric models begins with 9100 or 7100 and some buses display a green plug emblem. Beaver also said some special-education vehicles include an "electric bus" marking.
Trustees praised the transportation team's collaboration with other agencies and their daily operations; no amendments to the plan were proposed at the meeting.
