The Allegany County Board of Legislators on March 12 approved several administrative and personnel measures during a short session that included block votes and roll-call ballots.
The board approved two scheduling resolutions (Intro Nos. 107-25 and 108-25) that change the date/time of the first regular May meeting to May 7, 2025, at 10 a.m., and move the second regular July meeting to July 23, 2025. Separately, the board accepted a donation (Intro 112-25) of 200 building kits from Lowe’s in Hornell, New York, to support the county’s Joseph P. Dwyer Peer-to-Peer Support Program. The acceptance was moved by Legislator Stockton and seconded by Legislator Root and approved by roll call.
The chairman also announced a joint appointment: W. Brooke Harris, chairman of the Allegany County Board of Legislators, together with Andrew Burr, chair of the Cattaraugus County Board of Legislators, appointed Christopher Chase of Universal Primary Care in Olean to serve on the Cattaraugus Allegany Workforce Development Board for the remainder of Carrie Haley’s three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2025.
