Committee members approved a contract renewal with Delta Development for comprehensive public funding strategy services ($90,000) and authorized the county administrator to sign paperwork related to a $49,000 I Love NY State Aid award and its matching funds. The committee approved extending the county's microenterprise CDBG agreement with the IDA to accept additional award money and instructed staff to return with details on how the county Economic Development Fund balance has been used for grant matches.
Several staffing actions cleared the committee: two election clerk positions (annual salary estimated at $36,000 each), an aging services technician (salary range $42,600–$51,800; funded 95% state, 5% county), an Office for the Aging appropriation tied to a Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act grant (additional federal revenue $5,775), and a public-health nurse practitioner position (salary estimated $137,025; funded 86% state, 14% federal). The committee also authorized the use or reallocation of small remaining balances in state septic-replacement grants (e.g., $2,817.50 for properties within 200 feet of Kanakadea Creek; $100,000 for properties near the Upper Genesee River).
Votes on these items were carried by voice vote during the meeting. Most motions were moved and seconded during the discussion; when members asked for budget or line‑item clarifications staff said they would return with more detail.
