He also explained reductions to Task Force 1 items: the committee reduced a Task Force 1 NDI by $250,000 (leaving $250,000 in the new decision item from an original $500,000) and reduced a $500,000 equipment request while retaining a $250,000 core amount, for a total of $500,000 remaining in the substitute.
Representative Seinoff asked for the numbers to be repeated; Dayton walked through the calculation and said the reductions reflected prior investments and sustainability concerns rather than a determination that the task force lacks value.
