Council opens public hearing on Glendale infrastructure improvement plan; vote set for March 25

The Glendale City Council opened a public hearing Feb. 11 on the proposed Infrastructure Improvement Plan and land-use assumptions and then closed the hearing after staff comment and without public speakers.
John Murphy, engineering capital-improvement-program administrator, told the council the Feb. 11 session was a public hearing only and that the council would return to consider adoption on March 25. Murphy outlined the schedule: a public hearing on fees is planned for May 15, adoption of fees is scheduled for June 24, and the fees would take effect Sept. 8.
Murphy said the March 25 vote would move the land-use assumptions and infrastructure-improvement plan to the next stage of review and implementation. No residents or other speakers registered to address the item during the Feb. 11 hearing; the public hearing record was closed at the meeting.
Because this meeting served only as the hearing, the council made no formal decision on the plan on Feb. 11. Staff indicated it will return with the adoption item on March 25 and with fee-related hearings and adoption as scheduled.
