Sawyer County HHS to post acronym glossary online; adult-protective-services specialist resigns

The Sawyer County Health and Human Services Board received several administrative updates on March 11, including plans to post an agency acronym glossary online, work on HIPAA documentation and contracts, and a resignation in Adult Protective Services.
Board members and staff agreed to place the department’s acronym glossary on the HHS web page with a homepage link to increase visibility. Administrative staff reported they are updating HIPAA documentation and contracts. The department also marked employee appreciation week with Mardi Gras–themed events.
Carol Pearson reported the resignation of Rose Elliott, the county’s adult-protective-services specialist. Staff said they are reviewing the job description and plan to post the position as soon as possible. ‘‘If you know anybody who wants to help support a good cause of helping protecting the adults in our area, have them be on the lookout for applying for a position with us,’’ Pearson said.
No formal action was taken; staff will proceed with posting the vacancy and returning to the board with updates on hiring and any consequential service impacts.
