The City of Lacey announced a partnership with Thurston County and the cities of Tumwater, Olympia and Tenino to launch Energize Thurston, a purchasing campaign offering discounted and streamlined installations of heat-pump heating, cooling and water-heating systems. To qualify for the program, participants must attend an educational workshop, available on demand or in person.
Energize Thurston seeks to coordinate purchases and installations across the county to reduce costs and simplify the process for homeowners. The city’s announcement lists an upcoming in-person workshop on April 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lacey Timberland Library and directs interested residents to energizethurston.org for details and enrollment.
The program was presented as a joint effort between the City of Lacey and neighboring jurisdictions; the announcement did not include details on participant subsidies, contractor selection, or eligibility beyond the workshop requirement. Those details are available through the program’s website, the city said.
