Magistrate Ryan Pratt presented a proposal from the Friends of the Park to reallocate $4,500 that had been raised for concessions and other park needs but remained unspent. The funds were originally raised during construction of the Wild World Soccer Complex and the Friends of the Park board asked that the money be used for park needs.
Possible uses discussed included two benches and trash cans or using the funds for wooden barricade timbers to protect fields from vehicle damage at the Lyle Road complex. Staff said the request fits within the parks master plan and that Jude and others had recommended the use; Friends of the Park representative (formerly Doucette) was reported to be supportive.
Magistrate Kelly Corman moved to approve the reallocation and David Livingston seconded; the court approved the request by voice vote.
