The committee also adopted a perfecting amendment making an internal consistency change: the bill’s speed definition was reduced from 50 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour and committee members fixed a conflicting sentence that still referenced 50 mph. After those amendments were adopted, the committee voted to report S.150 favorably by voice vote.
