Court approves phased expansion of net-recovery slots and commits opioid-settlement funds

A motion was made to approve the agreement as presented; the court recorded that the proposal referenced 54 service-program participants and a commitment of $189,000 from the opioid settlement balance. The court voted to approve submission of the agreement to the NET Recovery provider and to pursue additional information on tracking and reuse of devices. Staff will follow up on whether multiple NET device uses count as separate program uses.
Magistrates and staff discussed possible grant applications and combining county opioid-settlement funds with health-department outreach for geo-targeted digital and print education about treatment options.
