MOSI official links reading to science, urges students to finish robot book on MyON

John Smith, CDO of the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI), used a short presentation at MOSI's flight club drone zone to link reading skills with science learning and to promote a robot-themed book available on MyON.com.

Smith told listeners, "Hi, future scientists. I'm John Smith, CDO of MOSI, Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry, here in our flight club drone zone, which shows the latest advancements in aerial robotics." He said reading helps students understand scientific ideas and cited a book he called an example: "A great example of this is the book, Do for You, The Robot Experiences, Force and Forces and Motion."

Explaining how the book connects literacy and physics, Smith described the robot's interactions with forces: "To do work, a robot must move. In his resting position, HEB E1 is doing knee pain. The force of gravity is pulling on him. It helps HEB E1 stay at rest." He continued, "An object won't move unless a force acts at mind. Most forces can be thought of as a push or pull. It's force that sets everything, including HEVE1, into motion."
