The Casper Planning and Zoning Commission approved a vacation and replat to create the Plaza Addition No. 4 subdivision at 4101 South Coppin Avenue, directly west of the Sunrise Shopping Center.
Staff entered a status report and exhibits including letters of opposition from nearby property owners; staff noted several letters were printed after the staff report was produced. Commissioners asked the fire department's involvement in clearance matters for the nearby wood-structured shopping center; staff said the fire department attended pre-application meetings and did not express concerns about clearances.
During the public comment period, no speakers indicated support or opposition at the microphone. Commissioner Hutchinson moved to approve the replat with the conditions listed in the staff report; Commissioner Hunter seconded. With all members voting aye, the motion carried. The commission directed staff to forward the approved plat to the City Council with a due-pass recommendation and to contact the applicant about executing a subdivision agreement before council consideration.
Staff entered nine exhibits into the record, including the plat application, public notice materials, and multiple letters of opposition from neighboring addresses.
