The Chappaqua Central School District Board of Education adopted a revised 2024–25 district calendar and approved routine business items during its March 12 meeting.
The board voted to make April 21 the district’s snow "give-back" day. A motion to adopt the revised calendar was made and seconded during the meeting and passed with the board’s affirmative voice vote.
In addition to the calendar vote, the board approved several routine items by motion during the session: acceptance of minutes from the March 5 board meeting, the superintendent’s instructional and non-instructional recommendations (listed as items 4.1 and 4.2 in the agenda), the consent agenda covering contracts and common approvals (items 5.1–5.6), and acknowledgment of the claims auditor’s report for February 2025 (item 8.1). Most of those motions were made without extended discussion and carried on voice vote.
Board President and district staff noted that departmental budget presentations (curriculum, technology, PPS, athletics) were informational and will be carried forward into the formal budget adoption process this spring.
