Rockcastle County board approves PSDA policy 1.1 on second reading and declares emergency to repair Rock Castle Academy roof

The Rockcastle County Board approved changes to PSDA policy 1.1 on its second reading and unanimously declared an emergency to repair roof and interior damage at Rock Castle Academy, the board said during a special-call meeting.

So we have filed an insurance claim, and by declaring this an emergency, this will speed up the process for us to be able to get that repair." The declaration is intended to allow the county to move more quickly on contracting and repairs while the insurance claim proceeds.
