County selects PR Works to assist with facility siting and development communications

The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners voted March 13 to select PR Works to provide public-relations and communications support for county facility siting and development work.
Samantha Kreps presented the review of proposals and recommended PR Works. Commissioners asked about accreditation; Kreps said Jason Kirch, owner of PR Works, is APR-accredited and teaches the APR course. “Jason Kirch… is APR accredited, which is a very, high level accreditation for public relations and communications,” Kreps said.
A motion to approve the recommendation was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The board did not discuss a contract dollar amount in the public remarks; staff will proceed with the procurement steps authorized by the board.
