Cruz also said the department had identified two errors: two claims — Billy Peter v. Anne Lopez and Child Evangelism Fellowship v. Hawaii State Department of Education — had been resolved by judgment rather than by settlement, and the department asked the committee to correct those descriptions.
The committee accepted the requested additions and the amendment changing the description of two claims from settlement to judgment, set a different defective date, and recommended passage with amendments. The committee recorded no further questions in the transcript and adopted the measure.
