District reports Oliver and Leahy school projects on schedule; dedications planned for August

District officials told the board Feb. 26 that construction on the Oliver and Leahy school projects is progressing on schedule and on budget and that public dedications are planned in August.
Accent/OPM representatives said the Oliver School is in final finishes — flooring, painting and ceiling work — and mechanical systems are starting up. Project staff noted the gym floor had arrived and installation would begin soon. The district said the Oliver dedication is scheduled for Aug. 12, 2025.
Representatives for the Leahy School said the project is likewise moving toward completion and that interior finishes, rooftop garden work and playground installations are underway. The Leahy dedication is planned for Aug. 18, 2025. Project staff invited board members to schedule construction walkthroughs and emphasized standard safety requirements (hard hats, closed-toe shoes) for visits.
Superintendent Carrero and board members noted community interest in using the new facilities and asked staff to review rental and custodial fee structures to ensure the district recovers costs when outside organizations use school spaces.
The presentations included monthly drone footage and links to online project updates on the district website.
