The Dunn County legislative committee voted March 12 to approve a resolution supporting increased state funding for county courts and to forward the resolution to the full county board.
A public comment submitted in advance asked about the status of a separate county resolution on technical college funding; the committee chair said staff would email the commenter with the whereabouts of the resolution. During discussion of the court-funding resolution, committee members noted the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) has prioritized court funding as part of its legislative agenda.
Supervisor McPella moved to approve the resolution and Supervisor Morehouse seconded. The committee voted by voice; the chair declared the motion carried and the resolution will be forwarded to the county board.
