Staff said the revised loader spec requests a larger 35,000-pound operating weight machine with a 3.5-yard bucket and a five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty; the department intends to solicit bids with a deadline in early April. Committee members also approved a long auction list of underused equipment and older vehicles to be sold, and they approved highway vouchers as submitted at the meeting.
The motions passed without roll-call tallies on the record; the minutes record that motions were made, seconded and approved. Staff said auction proceeds and bid results would return to the committee for final acceptance and that the loader procurement would proceed through the normal bidding process.
