Nicholas Salzakis, director of communications for Waukegan Public Schools, said the events are intended to register students entering kindergarten who did not participate in the district—PIC pre-K program. "Our district will host its first of 3 kindergarten registration events, which are geared toward incoming kindergarteners who are not currently enrolled in our EPIC pre k program," Salzakis said.
The district described this session as the first of three registration opportunities; it did not provide dates for the other two events in this announcement. Parents were told to book appointments online and to bring the documents the district requires for enrollment.
