Representative Taggart and others questioned whether annual spending near the previously authorized $1.8 million is still justified; Kim recommended an RFI due in November so the committee can reassess the ongoing fiscal need and whether continuous appropriation of the cash fund remains necessary.
Action: The committee voted to approve the staff recommendation for R2 PPE stockpile and to add the RFI requesting a departmental comeback with inventory and usage details (due November). The motion passed five‑zero with one member mildly excused.
