Neighborhood raises safety and traffic concerns over proposed 13-building apartment complex accessing Vista Point

She said the project site lies in an existing single-family zone and that “in order to access the apartments, you would have to go through a very quiet neighborhood.”
Calvo described safety and circulation concerns, asking how emergency vehicles would move that number of residents through narrow neighborhood streets: “The concerns are safety... If there's an emergency, trying to get that many people down those small streets through McAndrews.” She said CSA Planning will hold a public meeting on Jan. 23 at Bethel Church.
The council did not take action on the matter during the hearing; Calvo requested the council’s attention and said she brought notices and copies of the planning materials for staff.
Ending: City staff noted the public comment period and that applicants hold neighborhood meetings; any formal land-use applications will be processed through the city's public-notice and hearings rules.
