The Medford City Council on Jan. 15 voted 8–0 to approve Council Bill 2025-06, a resolution authorizing a substantial amendment to the city’s 2024–25 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) action plan.
Sheila Giorgetti, housing and community development staff, said the amendment is intended to spend remaining unallocated CDBG and CARES Act funding the city must use by federal deadlines. “Approval for the amendment will allow the remaining unallocated funds to be committed to eligible projects,” she told the council.
