During discussion, staff described visible corrosion on a pump plate and said one of the pumps' date stamps could not be read. Council members stressed urgency so pumps could be returned to service if needed elsewhere. The roof repair work was described as wind damage and age-related deterioration.
Council approved both actions by voice votes; staff indicated the pump purchase and control-panel work should proceed as soon as possible to restore capacity.
