Plano’s annual Live Green in Plano campaign is aiming to collect 12,000 pounds of litter this year and will compete in the North Texas Community Cleanup Challenge, the city said.
Steve Soller, Plano’s media relations director, encouraged residents to volunteer for litter cleanups and directed listeners to plano.gov/seedprograms to register. The city did not provide a target schedule for collection or past performance figures for comparison in the announcement.
Volunteer opportunities are open to residents; the city’s registration page includes event dates, meeting locations and safety guidance when available.
