The Yuma Union High School District governing board approved the 2025'26 employee compensation packet and instructed staff to issue contracts with corrected start dates for 9-month and 10-month employees.
Assistant Superintendent Bobby Lambert told the board the version distributed in the public packet contained incorrect start dates; he provided the corrected dates: July 25, 2025 for 9-month employees and July 7, 2025 for 10-month employees. Lambert said the packet provides raises described as a 3% increase for certified and administrative support staff and a $1-per-hour base increase for classified staff; he also mentioned an additional 1.5% adjustment to certified/support staff during discussion.
Board members said issuing contracts is time-sensitive and that, in previous years, contracts were issued before final state budget numbers were available; the board approved the packet so the district can meet contractual timelines. The motion carried unanimously.
The board directed Human Resources and Finance to post the corrected packet on the district website and to issue contracts reflecting the corrected start dates.
