Trustee discussion focused on the workload and hours. One trustee said prior incumbents in similar roles sometimes worked long days when extended learning programs ran many hours; staff responded that the job description includes language about flexibility and that the 10:00–5:15 schedule is the goal.
The board first approved the job description and then approved the FTE allocation for the TOSA; both actions passed 3–0. The district said the TOSA will help align special‑education services with after‑school supports so students can access and thrive in expanded‑learning activities.
