Upper Darby board approves routine reports; no public commenters signed in

At a special Aug. 27 meeting, the Upper Darby School District Board of School Directors approved routine reports for instruction and curriculum, transportation and facilities (including a donation report) by voice vote.
Director Britney Williams moved to adopt the instruction and curriculum report; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Director Pia Centini moved to adopt the transportation report; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Director Murphy Morrissey moved to adopt the facilities and donation reports; the motion was seconded and also carried by voice vote.
President Fields said the district posted the agenda on BoardDocs at least 24 hours in advance. The board called for public comment under Board Policy 903; Director Buford reported there were no emailed or phoned comments and the meeting sign-in sheet was blank, so no in-person public speakers addressed the board during the allotted public-hearing period.
Other agenda items noted in the meeting included a policy first reading and a brief new-business remark welcoming students and staff back to school. The board adjourned following completion of the posted agenda.
