Airport authority schedules open house to finalize master plan before FAA submission

Consultant Judd Hill said the technical advisory committee had provided useful input through the planning process and that the open house is largely a public presentation of what the committee and consultants developed. The board discussed possible dates and formats; consultants suggested a two-hour open-house format with printed plan boards and staff available to answer questions. Board members expressed preference for a weekend date (proposed Saturday, April 12) to improve public turnout but noted other weekday options were available.
The consultant and board discussed venue options, including the airport hangar as a public-accessible site outside security, and agreed to distribute invitations to local councils and stakeholders; Janine will be the point of contact to post the invitation on the airport website. The board clarified that the master plan requires approval only by the Airport Authority, not city or county councils, though members said they may present the plan informally to those bodies for information.
