Oshkosh paratransit hours set to change April 1; committee reports positive initial feedback

The Oshkosh City Transportation Committee on March 11 reported that the Common Council has approved revised paratransit service hours. Staff said the new hours take effect April 1.
Under the approved schedule, paratransit service hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Committee members were told staff is now working on user education and on tracking any operational issues that arise after the change.
Jim, City staff, told the committee the change has received "positive feedback" so far and that staff will monitor any impacts, including whether some users may need to qualify for an Access to Jobs program to preserve overnight employment trips that fall outside the new hours.
Ending: Staff said it will track incidents and report any service gaps to the committee and council as needed.
