Woodbury County sells four tax-forfeited parcels at public auction

WOODBURY COUNTY, Iowa 2D Woodbury County conducted two scheduled public auctions during the board meeting and the Board of Supervisors approved sale awards by unanimous vote.
At the 4:35 p.m. set time, the county offered parcel 9005 (listed as 3508 West Fifth Street) for sale. Bidding opened with multiple participants; after competitive bids the board awarded the property to a bidder identified in the record as Mr. Finson for $1,100. The board approved the award and instructed staff to complete paperwork.
At the 4:37 p.m. set time, the county opened bids for three adjacent parcels (ending in 9009, 9010 and 9011), identified as 1813, 1815 and 1817 South Olive Street. Following public bidding that reached $5,400, the board awarded the three properties to Martin Munoz for $5,400 and approved handling steps for paperwork.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved notice-of-sale resolutions for two additional parcels (parcel ending in 5016, 410 Eighteenth Street; and parcel ending in 5001, 2910 Thirteenth Street) on the consent agenda; those approvals were for setting sale notice dates and not the final sale of those properties. All motions and awards at the meeting were recorded as passing 4-0.
Ending: Purchasers were instructed to complete required paperwork with county staff; the board confirmed staff will handle deed and payment formalities for the awarded parcels.
