The approved draft requires a report, due on or before Dec. 15, 2025, that “shall provide data for the previous five years,” according to Ellen Shaikowski of the Office of Legislative Council, who reviewed the draft during the meeting. Shaikowski said the draft also specifies that the report will include counts of homes receiving weatherization services “by income level in county” and that subsection d — language about a permanent reporting requirement — was removed.
Committee members asked procedural questions before the roll call. The chair asked for a motion that the committee approve draft 5.1 of H.125; a roll call followed. Ellen Shaikowski read the changes to the draft and the committee clerk completed the roll call. After the vote, a member summarized the tally as “5 3 1” and the committee named a floor reporter to take the bill to the House floor.
