The council authorized the city manager to execute a contract with D and D Construction for the FY25 street maintenance package. The work listed by the mayor includes two sections of Green Valley Road and Deer Creek Boulevard. The mayor said the Green Valley Road low‑water crossing improvement near Dean Road "is complete," and added, "we're happy with that improvement, and we like the, the new road surface in that area. Council members approved an ordinance to issue the City of Cibolo Certificate of Obligation Series 2025 in the amount of $11.5 million; Mayor Mark Allen told the meeting the sale was awarded to BOK Financial Securities at an interest rate of 3.8% following a recent city credit rating upgrade to AA+. The council also approved a $2,000,000 general obligation bond sale at a 3.87% interest rate with Hilltop Securities; Allen said those bonds relate to authorizations approved by voters in the November 2024 election.
The council voted to allow use of the multi‑event center for the 2026 powwow; the mayor said the event has taken place in 2023 and 2024 and organizers are making it biannual with the next occurrence in spring 2026. The council also approved a conditional use permit to allow a convenience storage facility at Old Wiederstein and 1103; the mayor reported that vote was 5‑2 in favor.
