Commissioners approve jury-room monitor relocation and permit courthouse pinwheel event for child-abuse prevention month

A representative from the circuit court requested permission to rewire and relocate one of three courtroom monitors into the jury room so jurors can review video evidence. The project estimate was $5,824.05, to be paid from the circuit court maintenance budget. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the expenditure.
Sandy, representing Safe in Adams County, requested permission to hold the organization's “Celebration of Children and Families” at noon April 1 on the courthouse steps, followed by a pinwheel garden for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The organization said it would be responsible for installing and later removing the pinwheels; commissioners approved the event and asked that the pinwheel display be removed no later than May 1 to accommodate spring grounds maintenance.
Ending: Staff will process the circuit court purchase order and coordinate logistics and permitting for the April 1 event.
