Allegheny County Council read a series of appointments and reappointments to multiple advisory bodies and referred them to the committee on appointment review for consideration.
The clerk read appointments (IDs listed in the public record) for terms effective through March 25, 2027, to the Community Services Advisory Council and for the Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Advisory Board with terms effective through March 25, 2027 and March 25, 2028 depending on the listing. Names read into the record included Sally L., Monique Yost, Laura Zinski, Kurt Conrad, Autumn Monahan, Andrea Hord, Dr. Yulia Van, Vanessa Dodds, Deborah Glover Joswiak, Jennifer Modell, Dr. Denisha Slider, Imperatrice Zeiss, David Forsyth, Kirsten Parham, Ayesha Carter, Kaneda Folks, Rachel Flynn, Generva Jones, and Dr. Kimberly Mathos, among others. The clerk listed each appointment with its internal agenda identifier (for example: 13413-25 through 13431-25 and related IDs) and noted all were sponsored by the chief executive.
Council President Patrick Catena said that all appointments read this evening will be referred to the committee on appointment review; no committee discussion, confirmation vote or public testimony on the individual nominees was held during the meeting. The clerk recorded the presentations per standard practice.
Next steps
The committee on appointment review will consider the nominees and may hold hearings, vetting, or a committee vote before any nomination returns to full council for confirmation.
