The Police Department will host its second Citizens Police Academy beginning March 18 and running through May 13, with a final banquet scheduled for May 20, Chief Corsi told the City Council.
Chief Corsi said organizers had an “overwhelming response” and closed the application process after the class filled in roughly six days. “So we got an overwhelming response. We actually had to shut down the application process because we had so many people respond,” he said.
Officials called the program successful and said they look forward to the next semester of the academy.
