Resident raises road condition concerns in Imperial Terrace East; staff says streets are on repaving list

A resident told the City Council that roads in the Imperial Terrace East neighborhood are eroding at the edges and buckling in places and requested that the city inspect and provide a plan for future repairs.
“My name is John McCoy,” the resident told the council. “We had our board meeting, and they sent me and these 2 ladies in here. We're in concern about the way the roads are getting… they're starting to buckle in the centers. Sides are starting to crack out.”
City staff responded that the city completed a road assessment about six years ago that rated every street and placed repaving candidates on a multi-year list. A staff member said, “They are on a list to be all, repaved. I will look, where that is,” and invited McCoy to email the city so staff could report back to his neighborhood board with timing tied to the annual paving budget.
Council members and staff did not promise immediate repairs; they said the streets are scheduled through the city's multi-year paving plan and that staff would confirm timing with the resident.
