Todd, city administrator, asked the council to approve a resolution to move into closed session for three bargaining units with ongoing negotiations. He said the council would meet in closed session and would not return to take action other than to adjourn in open session.
Todd identified the bargaining units as electric line workers (local 71), maintenance (local unit 70) and communications technicians/dispatchers (as recorded during the meeting). The council approved the resolution to move into closed session by roll call; votes recorded included Council member Ram, Council member Weisenfeld, Council member Scharstrom, Mayor Noel, Council member Johnson and Council member Perez voting aye. The clerk announced the council would move into closed session at 7:32 p.m.
