Fix A Leak Week workshop set for Plano on March 22

Steve Stoler, a staff member, said a hands-on Fix A Leak Week workshop will be held in Plano on Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
"Did you know household leaks can waste nearly 1,000,000,000,000 gallons of water annually nationwide?" Stoler said, asking listeners to mark their calendars for the event. He said the workshop will show attendees how to find and fix common household leaks.
Stoler told listeners that average household leaks can account for nearly 10,000 gallons of water wasted every year and that fixing easily corrected household water leaks can save about 10% on a household's water bill. He listed common problems homeowners can learn to fix at the session, including worn toilet flappers, dripping faucets and leaking valves.
To register for the workshop, Stoler said visitors should go to plano.gov/seedprograms. He closed the announcement with the signature phrase, "We'll see you soon for another Stoler on the Street."
