Council unanimously acknowledges three proclamations and approves consent docket
Summary
At its March 11, 2025, regular meeting, the Norman City Council unanimously acknowledged proclamations for Earth Day, Public Transit Professional Appreciation Day and Women’s History Month, and placed and approved items 4–14 on the consent docket.
The Norman City Council unanimously acknowledged three mayoral proclamations and approved the consent docket during its March 11, 2025, regular meeting.
Mayor Heikler read proclamations declaring April 22, 2025, as Earth Day; March 18, 2025, as Public Transit Professional Appreciation Day; and March 2025 as Women’s History Month. Each proclamation was presented for acknowledgement and the council voted to accept the proclamations; the motions passed unanimously.
The council also voted by unanimous consent to place items 4 through 14 on the consent docket and subsequently voted to approve items 4 through 14 on the consent docket in a single motion. No items were removed for separate consideration.
Taken together, the votes were routine acknowledgements and administrative approvals; no substantive debate or amendments to those items were recorded in the public portion of the meeting.
