Assistant General Manager said the contracts cover review of traffic control plans, permits from local jurisdictions, equipment rentals and both scheduled and emergency projects. “If approved, this action will execute 1 of those renewal options and increase the contract amounts, Hudson ... by a hundred and 50,000 and ... RTL by 50,000,” the Assistant General Manager said during the committee meeting.
The contracts were described as having existing individual limits of $75,000 and are set to expire May 7, 2025. Staff told the committee that each contract contains two one-year renewal options; the requested action was to use one renewal option for each contractor and raise the authorized spending limits by $150,000 for Hudson Safety Light and by $50,000 for RTL Traffic Control.
Director Castaneda moved to approve the recommendation; a second was recorded but the seconder's name was not specified in the meeting record. In a roll call vote the committee approved the motion unanimously. The meeting record shows the three directors present—Director Castaneda, Director Cox and Director Martinez—voted in favor. The Assistant General Manager confirmed the staff recommendation prior to the vote.
